Singapore – Top 20 Things to Eat

Everyone keeps asking me what to eat in Singapore. And truth is, I don’t venture out too far from where my grandparents live so it is hard for me to recommend places convenient to people traveling. But I did some research, confided in the blogs of trusted Singaporean Foodies and came up with this list..

Here are some of my favorite dishes of Singapore, though I haven’t tried all the locations listed, these are still dishes you should seek out when visiting Singapore!

These are in no particular order. Except for Mee Pok, thats the first thing I eat every time I go home. My favorite food ever. Yummm.

Mee Pok Tah / Bak Chor Mee

58 Minced Meat Mee
3 Yung Sheng Road, #03-150, Taman Jurong Market and Food Centre, Singapore 618495
Hours: 6:30am – 1:30pm (Closed Monday)

My fav:
Kopitiam Hawker Center
#01-136, 248 Simei Street 3, Singapore 520248
Hours: I’m not sure but I’m assuming lunch till dinner :)

*you can trust me on this one, I have tried at least 50 different stalls and come to the conclusion that I love the Mee Pok downstairs to my grandmothers house across from the Simei MRT station, the lady there gives me as much crispy pork as I want in a separate bowl so it doesn’t get soggy!*

Char Kway Teow

Honestly.. my father makes the best, so I don’t even eat this when I go to Singapore anymore. But it is a famous dish.. so here is a recommended joint :)

This one is Michelin Rated.. so you really have to give it a try. $3.50 for a Michelin meal!
